Following on from my pervious post and regarding the connection between Seigō ryū.

The founder of Seigō ryū - Isogai Jirōemon was a student of Fukuno Shichirouemon Masakatsu (福野七郎右衛門正勝), who was the founder of Ryōi Shintō-ryū (良移心当流). As a student of Fukuno, Isogai also trained in ChineseKenpō (拳法 – fist striking method) and Torite-no-jutsu (捕手の術 hard taking) Chin Genpin (陳元贇).

"According to an article in the magazine "Gokui (極意) of spring 1997 the Karate practitioner Fujimoto Sadaharu (Chairman of the International Karatedo Shobukai) studied Seigō-ryū from a teacher called Toda Shihan at an organization called Kobudo Federation (Kobudō Osamu Sei-kai). The article introduces methods that are taught to those who are above the Kirikami level (a level below mokuroku & menkyo levels. So this suggests above kirigami is mokuroku).

捕手五本 hoshu gohon (Hand capture five main or truths):

骨法 Koppō (bone method or knack)
移回 I-mawashi (utsuru kai) to Shift or move around / belt
奏者捕 Sōsha dori (player capture)
未来詰 Mirai tsume (to stuff or compress in the future tense)
筏流 Ikada ryū (raft (on the) current, or flow)
大小詰 Daishō tsume

It is said that when an opponent has a sword (persumably sheathed), he is not always using his right hand.

In addition, there were training methods in which a falling partner was received in a semi-seat position 半座 (hanza), and training (atemi) in which a person strikes a bag of rice bag. It is unknown what the tradition of the Suguru school that Sadaharu Fujimoto learned.
