Ryōi Shintō-ryū Jūjutsu (良移心当流 柔術) was brought to the U.K. in 1924 (Japanese year - Taishō 13 大正13年) by Takeda Tatsu Sensei (竹田辰 先生).

So, this year marks the 100th anniversary of Ryōi Shintō-ryū Jūjutsu in the U.K. & Ireland.

Sadly, it seems that the lineage in Japan no longer exists, so we are now the only remaining line of this 402 year old tradition.

My sincere thanks to Kodō Butoku Renmei (古道武徳連盟) Kaichō (会長) - Mr. Stephen Grayston (10th Dan, Meijin) for his kind letter congratulations to the Ryōi Shintōkai commemorating this landmark anniversary.
