Fukuno Shichirouemon Masakatsu (福野七郎右衛門正勝) studied the Yagyū Shinkage-ryū (柳生新陰流) Heihō (兵法 - war method, strategy) under Yagyū Sekishūsai Taira-no-Munetoshi (柳生石舟斎平宗厳 ) and became a ‘Tatsujin’ (達人 – master expert) of the Yagyū Shinkage-ryū. As such the Yagyū Shinkage-ryū can be considered as one of the root lineages, or pillars upon which the Ryōi Shintō-ryū (良移心当流) was founded.
The pictures above are from Yagyū Shinkage-ryū (柳生新陰流) scrolls reproduced in the (Japanese language) book: 'Kobujutsu genten shiryō (古武術原典資料 - Old Martial Arts Source Material) Maki no ni (巻之ニ scroll two) - Yagyū-ryū Kei Bujutsu Shiryō (柳生流系武術資料 - Yagyu style martial arts materials).Under the auspices of the: Nihon Bujutsu Shiryōkan (日本武術資料館 - Japanese martial arts archives)'.
