Ryōte Jime (両手絞) - Dai-ichi (第一):

Published on 26 January 2023 by Peter King

Uke attempts to strangle tori using a two-handed grip. Tori steps forward, raises his head, and slips his thumbs into the gap between the throat and uke’s hands. Next, tori closes his hand grips uke’s thumb. Then tori steps to the side and draws uke forward. When uke’s body is level with tori’s, tori then strikes the base of uke’s skull with the heel of his hand.

At the same time, he brings uke’s arm back over his head and pushes uke’s body forward with the striking hand. This action causes uke to lose balance and fall backwards. At this point tori aids this falling motion by pushing uke downwards and at the same time brings his knee up to strike the back of uke’s neck.
