Recently, I have been working on collating the various Kyūsho (急所 vital points) / Kinketsu (禁穴 prohibited points) charts that I received from my teacher - (the late) Shortt Sensei.

There are different charts for larger and longer range striking (ate waza) areas and much closer smaller target areas. There are charts for larger areas of constriction (shime waza) and also much smaller ones. There are charts for locking (gyaku waza) to the joints of the from and back of the body. There are charts that show how and where to apply different throwing techniques (nage waza), and finally there are charts that show the anatomical areas when using bladed, or impact weapons (buki waza).

I will be presenting some of these techniques at the Ryōi Shintō-ryū Jūjutsu seminar, as below:
