I recently came across these certificates from 41 years ago. I feel extremely fortunate to have been able to follow teachings Ryōi Shintō-ryū Jūjutsu (良移心当流 柔術) for so many years.

The certificates are signed by the late Robert Clark Sensei in his capacity as BJJA (British Jujutsu Association) National Coach and by my teacher James Shortt Sensei, who has been a source of profound inspiration throughout my martial arts career

The Japanese on the Shodan certificate reads:

英国柔術管理 Igirisu Jūjutsu-kanri (British Jūjutsu Control)

委員会 Iinkai (Commission)

柔術有段者会 Jūjutsu Yūdansha-kai (Jūjutsu black belt association)

全英国 監督 Zen Igirisu Kantoku (All Britain Coach)

and the Instructors certificate is:
